I found Levi’s dog a couple months ago. Griffin’s a little terrier, though I don’t know what breed he is exactly. He’s been keeping me company ever since, and when I’m away all day, Jenna’s boys come over to walk Griffin after they get out of school. They’ve even been teaching him tricks.
Griffin never shows signs of missing Levi. I don’t know if he’s like that lion the Englishman kept as a pet cub, and who then recognized him a couple years later. (Did you ever see that video? It looks like the grown lion is about to maul these guys out in the African savanna, and instead he plays with them like he used to, almost like a kitten.) To all outward appearances, Griffin seems to be pining for no one, and acts as if he doesn’t remember Levi.
But I know Levi will remember Griffin.
